Becoming organized is a process of learning how our brain receives, interprets and processes information. Once we understand and define a client's unique needs, we then create an individualized plan that will outline and support him/her throughout the organizing process.

Let us help you learn techniques that will support you in your daily life and minimize anxiety and frustration. We will break a job into as many steps as you need to succeed!

We have experience working with adults and children who have been diagnosed with ADD and ADHD. We can help break the tasks down into small, doable, pieces.  We then add support and structure by creating predictable, visual aides to help guide you through your day.  If you lack internal organization and sequencing then we will create external structure to help guide and inform you of what you need to be doing.

Here's an analogy:

Most individuals' brains are like a library, where all the books are divided into various sections, alphabetized, and easily found.  When new books arrive, they are easily placed into an already-organized system that makes receiving books and retrieving books faster and easier.

A person whose brain is not wired this way stores the books in large piles all over the floor. They are not categorized, or put away by author, or alphabetized. Every time a new book arrives, the person must sort through each pile to locate where this book belongs. This is frustrating and time-consuming because each time is like the first. dealing with new or retrieving old books is tedious and overwhelming.
