You helped me so much in the short time we worked together, and you really did leave me with a solid foundation. I’m so much more confident moving forward, and I’m very grateful that I got to work with you. Thank you so much!

“I just wanted to reach out and express my gratitude for all that you’ve given me. I was just reflecting on how much more understanding I’ve become with myself as a direct result of the work that I’ve been doing. It reminded me of the last thing you said to me that was really helpful. You said I should consider working there because it would be a good opportunity to work on humanizing the voice of judgment in my head.
I also wanted to thank you for sticking with me for all those months I was really struggling, and never once being anything except compassionate and caring. The truth is I had relapsed while at [work] and hadn’t stayed sober throughout my time after I left Utah and went back to college.
It was an excruciatingly painful experience even though I’d been largely responsible for it in a big way. However I really needed someone to stick by me and to offer me what you’d offered me. Otherwise I’m not sure if I’d have been able to hold on.
Now more than a year later, I’m able to proudly say that I’ve been sober since May 25th of last year. Even though we haven’t been in touch since around that time, I attribute a large amount of my success in recovery to the loving kindness from others that you showed me was possible.”

“I have thought of you often, and frequently refer to the skills that you taught me when you helped me organize my home office. I’ve employed many of those skills in my life over the years. In fact, when I started my new career as an Account Executive, I brought in the label maker you had me purchase, and I’ve used that to create all of my files.”
“You truly made a lasting impact on my life – learning to be more efficient, as I break down the barriers that can cause me to be disorganized or chaotic in my workspace! I thank you again for those life lessons learned.”

When it was time for him to leave the sober living facility, we knew he wasn’t ready to come home, so Jamie continued weekly sessions. She has helped to maintain ongoing weekly structure and accountability, since we live out of state. It is comforting to know that she keeps on eye on him as he transitions to living on his own and is no longer supported by the sober living community.
Jamie has established a bond with our son. She sets clear boundaries and expectations. My son summed up Jamie when he said, “She helps me do things I never thought I could do!” We are so thankful to have Jamie’s support.

My wife and I engaged Jamie Tabish to help improve support of our son’s executive functioning skills as he completed his recovery program in Salt Lake City. Our own residence was in Atlanta/Sarasota so we needed local area professional support for our son’s transition to independent living. Our son struggled with organizing, prioritization and follow through, which are all critical to his recovery and the goal of an independent life.
We found Jamie to be very nurturing, but she was also a practical help in relation to our son’s unique needs. She worked weekly and sometimes more often as needed, to help him focus and learn the ongoing organizational and executive functioning skills he needed to acquire. Specifically, Jamie helped our son learn public transportation system to get to his part-time job as well as more effective time management. She helped him with grocery shopping skills, and cooking nutritious meals. She also helped him with court appointment scheduling, preparation and court required community service options. She developed a very good working relationship with our son built out of trust and accountability.
Another important area of value with Jamie is her strong ability to communicate openly and with clarity. This was especially important to us given our remote location to our son. We had weekly calls with Jamie so she could update us on our son’s progress and struggles. This added greatly to our peace of mind while we were so far away and unable to be there face to face.
In summary, we would highly recommend Jamie’s executive functioning counseling as a critical success support factor in the transition of your loved one’s recovery process.

As a single working mother, I have been overwhelmed with trying to find balance in my life. In our sessions Jamie has astounded me with her great advice. She is able to pinpoint and break down what seems to be a complex problem, and gives doable step by step solutions. She has helped me see things from a more clear perspective, and has helped me find realistic solutions to achieve the balance I have been looking for. Jamie truly has a gift!

In the last six months, I have witnessed my adult son’s sustained progress in navigating life challenges while simultaneously constructing goals to advance meaningful engagement in family, social and professional life. Throughout this time, and as his life coach, Jamie has steadily provided personal insight, equanimity, professionalism, and candor – all beacon lights for a holistic, transformative process. In my experience with other consultants – e.g., private counselors, educational and/or behavioral support programs – she has no peer.

Every week, I get an amazing amount of letters, press kits, books and emails. I previously had no method of sorting and filing, so everything just went into piles on my desk and floor.
The space made me edgy and I often wasted valuable time searching for items only to find them days later when it was too late. Jamie helped me create a filing system that fits my specific job and my personality. After nearly 2 years, the system still works. It is relaxing to sit at my desk. I am more efficient. And my co- workers are always commenting on my clutter-free cubicle.
